MoCapture is the plugin for 3dsMax, that uses video-based technology for motion capture and animation directly inside a 3dsMax. Forget about expensive equipment, sticky markers, endless importing and exporting from and to several 3D programs. With MoCapture, all you need is sit down in front of a webcam, act out the expressions you want to apply to your 3D character and watch it happen in real time within your 3dsMax.

The free and open source character editor for Blender, ManuelbastioniLAB is out with Many exciting features: support for motion capture, advanced new shaders, improvements of the professional mesh topologies, anatomy improvements, new textures, better expressions and rest poses selector.

Highlight features:
• Models: ManuelBastioniLAB 1.5.0 greatly improves the accuracy of the anatomy and realism of the human models.

• Textures: All textures are improved and optimized. The displacement database is greatly enhanced (see the images below). Separate details and complexion textures are no longer used.

• Topology: The topology of humans is enhanced and optimized, in order to clean the topology of neck, shoulder, pectoral and stomach. Added the geometry for inner mouth sides.

• Shaders: Big improvements in the skin shader for Cycles: NPR core, double reflection layers, procedural "skin age". Improvements in teeth and eye shaders.

• Support: for motion capture. ManuelbastioniLAB 1.5.0 introduces a new technology: an expert system analyzes the structure of a motion capture file (.bvh) and automatically maps the skeletons in order to transfer the motion from the source to the lab character.

• Rigging: Lab 1.5.0 implements the twist bones as part of the standard skeleton. Vertex weights are improved for neck and lower arm.

MoCase

The MoCase, our main sensor, already includes everything needed to start your first motion recordings. A recharable battery pack allows up to 5 hours of continuous data streaming. Even if WiFi connectivity is low, no data gets lost. The sensor uses its own memory to buffer any motion data. Additional ports give you options to attach specialized sensors to the MoCase. A much smaller Motion Capture sensor, the MoCase mini, is already in development. There will also be pressure sensors, that bring up new options for interactive presentations and simplified data glove applications.

This simpified version of our main sensor is currently in development. The MoCase mini will make it even easier to fetch motion data from smaller body parts, such als the feet, hands, shoulder blades or the head. The MoCase mini can be linked to MoCase main sensor by a cable to share its memory and power supplies. This makes our full body Motion Capture system even more convenient.

Cinema 4D Plug-in

A deep integration Plug-in for MAXON CINEMA 4D 15 is already included with every sensor. It allows the streaming and recording of Motion Capture data in real time. As all data is recorded in global coordinates by default, exchanging or editing your animation rigs has never been easier.
